Dr.
Maatman received his Bachelor of Science degree from The
University of Michigan with High Distinction and his medical
degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic
Medicine. He completed his Internship training at Metro Health
Hospital and his General Surgery Residency and Urological
Surgery Residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation,
where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Maatman is a Fellow
in the American College of Surgeons and the American College
of Osteopathic Surgeons. Dr. Maatman is board certified
by the American Board of Urology and the American Osteopathic
Board of Surgery in Urology. He is currently Clinical
Associate Professor in the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties at Michigan State University College
of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Maatman is certified in da Vinci® Surgical Systems and has the longest continuous experience performing da Vinci assisted robotic prostatectomy procedures in the area.
