Circumcision in Older Children

Circumcision was once recommended for all newborn boys. Today, however, it’s seen as not entirely necessary, though parents often choose to have their newborn circumcised for a number of reasons. Circumcision can also be performed later in life for medical reasons, including an infection or the inflammation or narrowing of the foreskin.
