Undescended
Testes
Shortly before birth, the testicle typically moves from
the abdomen to its normal position. Occasionally, however,
the testicle fails to move – for one of a number of
reasons. Undescended testes can be treated through a series
of hormone injections, though the most effective treatment
is through surgery. It is recommended that this disorder
be treated within the child’s first year to prevent
further damage.
